Cc.TextureCache destroys absolute remote urls since cocos 3.12

After upgrading from cocos 3.11.1 to 3.12 cc.TextureCache in HTML5 destroys my absolute image urls by putting the root host in front (“http://10.0.0.5:4000/”, in my case). Code snipplet:
cc.textureCache.addImage(“http://external.url:4000/thumb/mypic.png”, function(texi) {});
In Chrome console i read:
GET http://10.0.0.5:4000/http://external.url:4000/thumb/mypic.png 404 (Not Found)
Hope someone can tell me how to fix this, otherwise i need to downgrade again.

btw, in native Mac addImage works as expected, still need to test iOS and Android,
