Facebook release not initializing

Hello

I’ve integrated facebook plugin for android as described in docs. It works ok on debug but when I compile my game on release it shows black screen. My investigations shows that this line is doing the crash:
var facebook = plugin.FacebookAgent.getInstance();

What is the problem? How did you manage to get facebook working in release?

Many thanks,
Robert

really no one??? is this forum dead?

We are working on a new Facebook Plugin as part of SDKBOX. It is not available yet, but will be.

when? I need it quite soon

What do you need Facebook for, as our Cocos Helper has Facebook sharing built in with video tutorials https://github.com/SonarSystems/Cocos-Helper

I need api for sharing score and for invitations, didn’t fount that in Cocos Helper but maybe I’ve missed it?

Here are the videos

iOS: http://bit.ly/1FEcShA

If you would like assistance for implementing it, we can do a Skype call.

but it has only share dialog, I need share score, and invitation and covered in JS api… does it have it?

Only share ATM, but the you could implement the invitation feature using our wrapper as that helps you communicate with native code.

I like Cocos Helpers but I don’t know nothing about implementation, I dont know Java or Objective C I just want to have something that has all the api in js.

OK, if you decide to just use the Share feature alongside the other amazing frameworks we have then let us know as we can help you implement it all.

well I think Cocos Helpers facebook share dialog is to low functionality. As JS developer I expect to have JS api, and for gaming the most basic stuff like share score, share dialog, and view friends and send invitation. I think if you would add those api in JS than many developers would use it because implementing Cocos Helpers is easy so this is big plus. Also twitter support would be great to have a share dialog where I just have prepared text and click share or just share with text defined by developer. Now it opens a window where I can choose share option like sms, email, facebook, etc. this is not what I’ve expect as a developer. And also callback function would be great to have

Thanks for your feedback.

Cocos Helpers is really nice, I’m using it for few stuff, I know it is free so thank you for your effort and time putted into this.
