I’m trying to build a simple hello world from the cocos2dx site. When I try to build libcocos2d, which seems to be required (?), I get the following error.
Error 1 error C2552: 'vp' : non-aggregates cannot be initialized with initializer list
...\cocos2d-x-3.7\cocos2d-x-3.7\cocos\platform\CCGLView.cpp 230 1 libcocos2d
What is causing this? How can I fix it?
I’m pretty sure VS2013 is the minimum requirement.
Wow, is that made clear somewhere? I totally missed that.
I went back to 3.2 and the code compiles now.
Yeah it’s under Build Requirements on the github page:

Depending on the size of your company and what you do with it, you might be able to use the free Visual Studio Community 2013: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/news/vs2013-community-vs.aspx
If your company is 5 or less developers making commercial games, you make less than $1,000,000/year and have less than 250 PC’s, then I think you can use it for free (but check the license to make sure):
License: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/legal/Dn877550.aspx
The community edition is essentially the same as the Professional edition, just has a different license.
