How are the pre-built libraries compiled?

I would like to have a go at integrating Chipmunk 7.0.1 into my fork of cocos2d-x, as my game would greatly benefit from kinematic bodies. However I don’t know the current pre-built libraries are compiled and packaged. Is a repo for this somewhere that I could fork?

run this: tools/framework-compile/bin/gen_cocos_libs.py

when finished the libraries are in prebuilt/ in your cocos2d-x root.

That script appears to create pre-built versions of the Cocos2d-x libraries:

What I wanted to know is how are the libraries within external are generated, that are normally downloaded with download-deps.py?

oh, I mis-understood. Let me check into this.

Yes, the prebuilt external libs are here with build instructions.

@slackmoehrle

I ran gen_cocos_libs.py and built all the prebuilts (took over an hour with my old core2 Q6600 :smile: )

How do you suggest using the prebuilts after they are made?

Thanks. I will check that out.
