How to setup Cocos Framework after studio is installed?

Hi all,
How to setup Cocos Framework after studio is installed?

Im using Macbook ME293, latest os x installed- v10.11.1, and in developing with cocos2d-x v3.8.1 with Xcode 7.0.1. Evrything’s good!

But today (Oct 29,2015) i setup studio v2.3.2, the system (studio) said that there is no cocos framework installed.

Would you help me to guide me how to get the cocos framework? and how to install it?

You need to download the framework from the Store in the Cocos App and install it. If you want to build your project using Cocos Studio, it would be best to create the project using Cocos Studio instead.

But it makes me abit confused:

  1. From the screen of cocos studio, how can i reach the STORE (as you mentioned) to get the framework? im sorry im new with studio.
  2. I just navigated through the studio menu, i could not find where to reach the STORE. would you guide me step by step to the STORE? sorry, i just have been dealing with cocos2d-x with Xcode, for me with studio everything is new.

Did you install by downloading the Cocos Installer from this link: http://www.cocos2d-x.org/download?

If you did, then there should be a Cocos.app installed in your Mac. Run the Cocos App and navigate to the Store. You should be able to see the framework to be downloaded and installed.

I can figure it out. I see the “one-key configuration” that i did not think this is the button to download studio stuff. im downloading. Hope you will support me in the future, thank you!

Hi there Koolj … Did you get sorted?.. I have the similar issue trying to set up Cocos Studio to the 3.9 version. The Cocos store downloads page ( and Documents page) is always just showing blank. However when I put in a search it does list a few frameworks but only up to v3.6. The One Key Configure is more promising but when I press install I get “The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.”
As far as I know this is a Server side issue, Maybe its just a sleepy Sunday morning problem so I’ll try again later.
Does anyone else have these issues?

I have this issue, so the method which I used to get around it was to go directly to the Cocos store website to download:
http://store.cocos.com/stuff/category/24/score_count.html

Unfortunately, the site is in Chinese, so you will need to find your own way into it. One tip is that the frameworks are named in English so it would be easy to find what you want. Once you are in the download page, press the blue button below the Cocos icon to start downloading. You might have to log in though.

Thanks DuracellRabbid I’ll try that. I did have success with the store by using the search function a couple of times seemed to jog it into action only to discover v3.9 is not yet available there.
