We can download sdkbox_config_encrypted.json from liveOps in SDKBOX,
But how to use it?
I really don’t want to leave the config file unencrypted in Resources folder.
Thanks

just replace the sdkbox_config.json should work

Hello @nite,

Hello @nite,
I tested,I downloaded the sdkbox_config_encrypted.json from google Play config and rename it “sdkbox_config.json”.
Then I replaced the sdkbox_config.json in Resources folder, compile it and run it on my Android Device,
I found it can not work ,did I make a mistake?
Thanks

Let me try it out and give you update

Thank you @nite

Looks like it’s not working, we’ll fix it on our next release

Thank you ,I will test the next version

@nite
i am facing this very same issue. Can you provide any expected date for next version release?

Thanks

Should be around 6/8

Hello @nite ,

I found this in the 2.2.3
SDKBOX supports loading encrypted configration locally

so,this means I can download the use encrypted configration locally with new version?

Yes that’s correct, you should be able to use encrypted configration locally, you have to provide your token in the init function, so the app knows how to decrypt the config file.

@nite,
Could you give me a tutorial how to use it?
I downloaded the android version “sdkbox_config_encrypted.json” and rename it to “sdkbox_config.json” ,then I replaced the old config file.I recompile the android and retested it. the app crashed.

Same here. It’s crashing on iOS too.

Please give me a tutorial about How to use it. I download encrypted file but it crashed on my phone

Sorry, I was on holiday, I’ll look into this and update documentation accordingly.

Did someone find a solution?

Encrypting json file is not clear ,how can i encrypt the file and how can i use it .??

@Kotaiba @milengk: sorry for the late response.

We have implemented encrypt config on LiveOps so that the remote configuration on our server will be encrypted and safe. This is enabled by default. You just need to set up your game with LiveOps, nothing else is needed.

What still missing is to support encrypted local sdkbox_config.json on the client side. We are working on it. That’s why you saw crashes using encrypt config file. We will let you know when it’s ready.
