Minimum Android version for Facebook

Hey there,

Well, in the description page, it says the minimum Android version required for the Facebook plugin is 2.3.

However, in the process of installing the plugin, as stated here, it asks you to:

Open project.properties and change target to target=android-15

Which is version 4.0.3.

So which is the real minimum android version for the Facebook plugin?

android-15 is the minimum version. This was shared amongst all SDKBOX plugins, until the Facebook plugin was developed. In this case a mistake. Let me fix that.

If you’re not using Facebook you can use the same lowest version that cocos2d-x supports which I believe is 9

Yeah, the lowest is 9. The plugin-x version of the Facebook extension also supports until 9 (I’ve tried it myself).

Oh well.

You are right, we’re looking into how to bring down the Facebook version to 9, it’s not documented by Facebook, hopefully we can figure that out in our next release. And plugin-x uses a pretty old version of Facebook.

An extremely old one! That’s why I was looking into upgrading. Please, tell me if you make it work from version 9!
