Reason of version 3.9 release delay?

As stated from the GitHub milestones, V3.9 is past due by 18 days and there is no any announcement about the delay.

Normal it would be alpha and beta release but now nothing.
I’m very curious on the delay and would like to know what’s going on the v3.9, anyone know the reasons?

Well, we released v3.8 on September 6 and v 3.8.1 shortly there after.

For v3.9, I don’t know. I will ask and update this.

isn’t it to soon to release new version ?
i hope the cocose team will Concentrate on performance and bug fixing and not release new version each month. .

I’m not urge to see new release each month.
I would like to have a better performance and less bugs version too.

The problem is the new version is scheduled to be released several weeks ago but no any news about it.

Im with this framework long time …
There ware delays before and there ware periods of none responses before …
You and others most understand this is open source project that trying to find ways to monetizing its self.
And the company that is supporting this framework has its own Considerations and Priorities.
its not like you are paying them 1500$ for license …

I’m just curious and concern about the engine but not criticising about the delay as v3.9 should be submitted to QA team

I stated that i’m not urge to see the new release, why you are telling me about their monetizing plan or the license fee? I don’t see the points.

@slackmoehrle has emailed them 6days ago, i’m afraid him too busy on other things and forget about the response, so just giving a friendly remind.

Dont look at the milestone date, wait patiently for the release, they could even release it 60 days later… So dont try to wait. It has always been like that for most releases.

I usually have hope :smiley: and always waiting for new release which will fix some bug in previous one and biggest hope that it will not brake anything new.

Cocos2d-x is like iPhone :D:D:D

3.X version comes with new features, but always have some critical bugs:) (iphone6)
3.X.1 version usually fixes most of critical bugs, improved version of previous one :slight_smile: (iphone 6s)
