I’ve updated my project from cocos 3.10 to 3.11.1 After some code cleaning (not directly related, but needed to clean sdkbox integration), I got all my plugins working again. I deleted all sets i have had in liveops and created just one.
My config set is for google play. I’ve both a Live and a Debug version. I’m attempting to try my new settings using the “Debug” set so I compile my game using:
cocos deploy -p android -m debug
But no matter what options I modify or what plugins I enable or disable on my debug set, no changes in my debug apk.
In the other hand, 5-15 minutes after modifying my Live set, my debug APK behavior changes accordingly.
Am I doing anything wrong? Just in case it matters, my Application.mk has defined DEBUG as follows:
I’ve saved the Live JSON and stored in my Resources folder just in case my game has no internet access as recomended in LiveOps tutorial. Anyway, I’ve 2 sets, a Live and Debug one. After saving the ‘live’ JSON, I press Export Sets. There I must select which set of configuration should be used for the store. I can only select one (Live or Debug) so I select the one marked as Live (not sure about this step, as a set can only have a Live version and that should be the one published for all my users).
All in all, explanation of how configuration set works make me think there should be something in sdkbox code to detect if i’m compiling in debug or release and download the JSON accordingly as documentation states “Debug: Will be sent if app is in the debug mode”.
What I expect from my little knowledge about liveops is:
Live set should be downloaded by my release compiled APK
Debug set should be downloaded by my debug compiled APK.
Draft shouldn’t be downloaded by any APK.
sdkbox::init("1","2","all",true);
the fourth argument.
true: for debug config
false: for release config
Thanks for the info! Anyway, it’s “sad” that I can’t see this info in the sdkbox documentation. Am I the only one testing/using it? No one faced this issue before, or is it me that haven’t manage to find out the right doc file?
Also, could I get a list of admitted values for third argument? LiveOps export set gives me “googleplay”, “ios” and “playphone”, but no value for amazon store. Is that correct? Do amazon store share same value as googleplay?
sdkbox is awesome and it’s constantly updated, sadly, I’ve the feeling that documentation, as the rest of cocos2d-x documentation, isn’t updated fast enough
