[Solved] Sdkbox COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT

I got following msg when im trying to import sdkbox plugin
failed to find COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT, make sure the environment variable COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT is defined.

But I do have COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT set up correctly:
echo $COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT /Users/kdong007/cocos/cocos2d-x-3.9/tools/cocos2d-console/bin

Can anyone help me with this plz?

In the meantime, can you try to add a cocos.py file inside cocos2d-console/bin folder, and see if it works.

There is already a cocos.py file in that folder

Hi @kdong007

To be sure, run setup.py from within the Cocos2d-x-3.9 directory.
then exit your terminal.

start again and try to run this command - cocos
just to make sure that COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT is accessible to you.

“unsupported cocos2d-x major version” …

/Users/kdong007/cocos/cocos2d-x-3.9/tools/cocos2d-console/bin/cocos```

Yes, this one.
Has this been solved yet for you.

v3.9 doesn’t contains sdkbox files within it.
Could you please try to follow this link to download sdkbox installer seperately.
as it doesn’t come anymore with cocos2d-x framework.

That would remove the dependency of COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT

Hope this helps.

I isntalled sdkbox using that link. it still says unsupported cocos2d-x major version. should i use 3.8 or something?

It should work fine with Cocos2d-x 3.9.

May we know which version of SDKBOX you are using ?
Try to update to the latest version using - sdkbox update --staging
if it still doesn’t work for you.

Could we have a teamviewer access to look into your issue ?
Let us know, if it didn’t work for you.

i finally got everything working. I removed all the NDK_ROOT, COSOS_xxx variables in my bash profile, then i run setup.py to set all of those things from scratch, then everything worked.
