Something other than xcode for a cross platform game

I’d really like to use only cmake on os X, develop on os x, and at a later stage start testing and configuring for IOS.

Is this feasible? I don’t want to use cmake to keep regenerating xcode projects and building through xcode. Basically I can’t stand x-code. I’d like to use my emacs setup to develop the game then worry about the ios details later. But I’d very much like to test and debug from the commandline without having xcode open.

I haven’t gotten familiar enough with cmake, but that’s more about project structure/layout/setup.

You can definitely build from the command-line and thus you can edit your code in emacs/vim/sublimetext or any other editor and then just type cocos run -p mac (or whatever option p platform you want).
