Alternative IDE to Eclipse?

I’m new to Cocos2d-x and Eclipse and it’s the worst IDE i have ever used, i can’t even write a simple hello world in it :joy: , i hate everything of it.
I used to use Qt Creator and VS for my projects, i don’t know how you guys are able to use Eclipse.

Now VS2015 added support to Android, is there any to tutorial on how to setup Cocos2d-x on VS2015 or Qt Creator for Android?

OS: Windows

Thanks.

I’m really interested in this too.

I would like to know if there’s an ide today that compiles for android to debug c++ beside of eclipse.

Have been reading about CLion but can’t find a good resource to use it with 100% success. Android Studio 1.3.x seems the way to go but haven’t found any information about make it work.

Cheers.

I use Xcode.

why don’t you use VS then? I develop everything with VS …

if your concern is debugging android code, then you could try nsight tegra plugin for VS. I did with UE4 and it worked for me.

Never heard about night tegra I will have to test it. And yes, my concern is android at this moment.

@umai: Can you debug android?

Cheers.

I don’t have Mac yet and can you debug android?

I’ll give it a try and thanks.

I heard some guys made VS2015 work with Cocos2d-x but i don’t know how, i hope they make a tutorial for it.

Cheers.
