Any good tutorial on how touch events works and how to handle them?

Hi, I’m having lots of issues with touch events. Is there any good tutorial/book that explains how touch events work?
Thanks,

maybe this can help:

1)- http://cocos2d-x.org/documentation/programmers-guide/8/index.html

2)- http://www.gamefromscratch.com/post/2014/10/03/Cocos2d-x-Tutorial-Series-Handling-Touch-and-Mouse-Input.aspx

3)- http://atmarkplant.com/cocos2d-x-touch-event/

as for books “Cocos2d-x Cookbook” has a great explanation on how to make custom events amongst a lots of other cool stuff.

PS: google is your friend!

Hi, thanks for the feedback. This is what I already got (including the book). I just thought there would be more tutorials or examples dealing with issues and touch problems. google is full of outdated/old V2 tutorials. And I’ve only found 3 books in english that works with V3 (really surprised about that… only 3 books?)

I’ve found good and simple examples that seems to work well with 1 or 2 sprites at the screen. But as soon as I have a screen full of sprites, there the problems starts… I just wish the documentation would have more examples and information about problems/issues.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

what is the your problem exactly if i may ask?

Hi Joseph, I managed to fix my problem. I was creating pointers to empty sprites and the touch events were triggering creating exec_bad_access errors. All fun. Anyway thanks for your support!
