Hi,
Recently I decided to upgrade my project from 3.4 to 3.8.1 stable as I found couple of useful things added since then.
But my demo was not building in eclipse. Nothing on the console (eclipse) about building. As if build command was not executed at all. I know cocos2d-x now uses the cocos-console for everything. But I find it very convenient to build from the eclipse.
I also tried editing build_native.py by pasting code from the cocos2d-x 3.4 one. But still nothing happened.
It is very frustrating to go back and forth to make builds.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards
So what’s the real problem ?
Did you try to create a hello world project and build it ?
What version of NDK are you using ?
Can you compile using the console ?
I know that I test that version of cocos2d-x and works very well no problems, of course I’m also working with the Version 3.9 beta I can also compile it for Android and windows.
From console it compiles fine. It compiles but it does not run on the device. I get a java.exe undefined error. And some swt error as well. I don’t remember actually. I then go to eclipse and run the application from there.
But I want to make the build_native.py file work and build from the eclipse alone.
Is it possible or cocos2d-x team has removed the functionality for once and for all
this youtube video will shaw you how to setup eclipse android project using cc2d-x 3.4 but it should be the same for cc2d-x 3.8.1
If you read my original post I am currently using cocos2d-x 3.4 and it is running fine on eclipse. I want to upgade it to 3.8.1 but cocos2d-x team might have removed the functionality to build it directly from eclipse. I want that functionality back
Hey try this create a new hello world project then replace this folders, your classes folder resources folder and the Android.mk file the try to build it again.
