Cocos Creator Developer Needed for Web-Based Play & Earn CCG Game

We’re seeking an experienced Cocos Creator developer to join our team in developing an exciting web-based 2D Collectible Card Game (CCG) with play & earn mechanics. This is a contract position where you’ll work alongside our established team of UI/UX designers, game artists, backend developers, and blockchain specialists.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Cocos Creator
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience with web-based game development
  • Understanding of CCG/TCG game mechanics
  • Knowledge of NFT integration and Web3 technologies is a plus
  • Experience with dynamic NFT systems is highly desired
  • Previous work on games with dual-currency systems is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement core game mechanics including:
    • Card summoning and collection systems
    • Tier-based progression mechanics
    • Element-based game mechanics
    • Stat enhancement systems
    • Merge/fusion mechanics
    • Collection completion tracking
  • Integrate with backend APIs and smart contracts
  • Implement Web3 SDK integration for NFT functionality
  • Optimize game performance for web browsers
  • Collaborate with the art team to implement 2D assets
  • Work with the backend team for server-side integration
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with client-side state management
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques for web-based games
  • Understanding of blockchain integration in gaming
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with real-time game systems
  • Version control (Git) proficiency

Project Scope:

  • Initial development phase: 3-4 months
  • Possibility of extended engagement for future features
  • Remote work with regular team communication
  • Milestone-based deliverables
