Cocos Creator games have a low C2P on poki

Hi everyone,

We are currently publishing several Cocos Creator games on Poki, and we are facing a recurring issue with the “Conversion to Play” metric.

For all our games made with Cocos Creator 3.8.x, the Conversion to Play is quite low, usually between 48% and 58%.

As a comparison, our Phaser games are usually around 67% for the same kind of web games, so we are wondering if something specific in the Cocos Creator web build could be affecting the loading/start experience on Poki.

We are trying to understand if this could be related to:

Cocos Creator web-mobile build size
engine initialization time
asset loading behavior
Poki SDK event timing
gameLoadingFinished() being called too late
gameplayStart() not being triggered at the ideal moment
compression/cache/build settings
any known issue with Cocos Creator 3.8.x on Poki

We are using Cocos Creator 3.8.x and the Poki SDK integration. The games work correctly, but the Web Fit Test result is much weaker than expected compared to our Phaser projects.

Has anyone here already published Cocos Creator games on Poki and managed to get a good Conversion to Play rate?

Are there recommended build settings, loading optimizations, template modifications, or SDK event timing changes to improve this metric?

Any advice, benchmark, or known issue would be very helpful.
