Is Clash of clans a 2d or 3D game?

So the big question here is - Is Clash of Clans made by 2d pictures from rendered 3D objects or is it made in a 3D engine with directly 3D objects?

One more thing about CoC…Do you think they use sprite sheets for the animations?

I think the performance benefits and memory reductions that come with Spritesheets are worth using them. I’d imagine a lot of games do.
