Sounds like a nice addition to the standard tutorials.
But which coverage do you have in mind?
A simple game like Flappy Bird, a moderate one like Monument Valley or a large one like Clash of Clans?
Which genre?
Which categories will be covered:
Concept, Game Design, Audio Design, Animation Design, Core implementation, Scripting, Encryption, Multiplayer?
Will there be any 3rd party tools covered?
Will the community also be involved in creating/coding?
Are you aiming for C++11/C++14?
Which platforms do you target:
Mobile only? Mobile and Desktop?
What are the post-tasks:
User engagement, marketing, support?
How are you keeping the same (high) consistent art standards, if the community is involved in providing assets? Will there be an art director? Will there be a team lead?
What are the plans for team communication? Forum, IRC?
How frequent will the updates be:
Daily, weekly, monthly?
What timespan is this project?
How about a “Kickstarter” campaign?
I would suggest to share the profits. One part for making addional awesome tutorials/workshops, the other part for charity. Maybe something like Humble Bundle is doing.
This all depends on the amount of revenues, of course.
These are my quick thoughts right now
Besides all that, you are aiming for the jack of all trades game, right?
