Locating the mouth in a sprite frame

Currently in why project I am using a sprite such as this

What I would like to do is have an animation play close to his mouth. For that I would like to know the x and y cordinates of the mouth in the picture . However I am not sure what the best approach would be in this case to obtain those values ?. I know I could get to the center of the sprite and keep on experimenting with the x and y value until I find the sweet spot however that would change for other screen resolutions since I have a setDesignResolutionSize. So I wanted to know if there was a another way for me to accomplish this (i.e) find the x and y coordinates of the mouth ?

If I were you, I will set the anchor point of that sprite at the mouth (You can put it easily in Cocostudio).
Then just get the sprite position, it will always stick at the mouth. :kissing:

Could I do it without cocos Studio ?

Yes, you can give it thousand try to find best position.

Why would it be a thousand time? You know the size of your sprite, so you know exactly where the mouth is located. You don’t have to be worried about the sprite being scaled: you can calculate the mouth position as a fraction of the picture size instead of by pixels.

Yes this is what I am doing now
