Turquoise2D Editor & Engine

Hi all.

I’m working on Turquoise2D editor(visual editor for Cocos2d-x). And I’m also working on my own engine Turquoise2D Engine.

The visual editor will work with Cocos2d-x, Löve2D and Turquoise2D engines.

What will you make with Turquoise2D Editor?

-Designing modern or tile based levels.
-Editing physics and shapes.
-Creating or editing your spritesheet files.
-Connecting an object to your classes.

At this point; I need your help to keep improving my project. If you want to support the project and more detail;

Thank you.

Thank you dude.

Yep I’m using Qt for the editor.

Looks good, I like how you edit collider objects.

Is it possible to design UI with it?

Yep, it’s in my plans too. And maybe a particle editor in the future…

I am glad you like it. Thank you.

I need to say that, the project isn’t similar with Cocos Creator or Level helper. If you don’t want to change your standard cocos2d-x development style, you will like that project. I’m a developer and I wouldn’t like to change my routines in the development side because of a visual editor. I like to writing code with the oldschool way.

What component for the graphic editing are you using in Qt ? (middle screen)
OpenGL or The Qt Graphic Components ?

I used QGraphics/QPainter methods for the scene side.

what version of Qt ?
is it going to be open source ?
this is allot of work …

QT part is lpgl licence.

The editor will be released with EULA.

But I will share only the first version as a open source.

I will also release the official version and updates.

Nice
Will it run i Linux to?

Thanks.

Yes, it will run.

Pretty good work buddy. Theme looks better and cleaner than cocos creator.
Looks like your team is working faster than cocos creator team (you added collider) haha…

All the best.

Thank you. :grinning:

Wow! Is awesome, it can by used with Cocos2D-JS Version?

Thanks.

Sorry. It doesn’t support the js version of Cocos2d-x now. But I will try the component system feature of Cocos2d-x in the editor soon.

By the way, you can follow the project from the facebook page. I will be happy if you like it.

I added the roadmap of Turquoise2D Editor;

Hi, do you have some plan, when can we try it?
