Writing Cocos2d-HTML5 Apps with ES6 and Browserify

I wanted to use ES6 and Browserify with Cocos2d, but I couldn’t find any resources on the topic, so I threw together a working example using Gulp, Browserify, Babel to build the Cocos2d hello-world app here:

Has anyone else had much luck with ES6/Browserify and Cocos2d?

Hi did you manage to run babel & gulp with es6 for cocos?

Native cocos build scripts are enough to make everything work and fly. Gulp, Brosefy are a very special type of heresy.

Are you trying to gain something specific by using those?

I was thinking about using babel to be able to write using es6

I’m trying to gain dependency management, easy access to node modules, and new language features. What makes Gulp and Browserify heresy?

@Likon
Yes. The repo I linked to in my post is a project setup with Gulp, Browserify, Babel, and Cocos2d. If you want to try it out, just follow the steps in the readme.

Thanks mate.
